Valentine Boxes for Boys

Every year my boys design a funValentine box that is taken to school empty and that returns full of Valentines from their friends. I was told recently that this doesn’t happen anywhere but in the US, and even then a lot of schools don’t allow it. Boo!

If your kids are allowed to make Valentine boxes, these are my favorite Valentine boxes for boys that we have made. My boys have a lot of fun designing their Valentine boxes and I’m glad that I can provide a little bit ofenjoymentand a lot of memory making with my boys while they are little.

Here are a few of the Valentine boxes my boys have made:

How to Make Valentine Boxes for Boys

Valentine’s Day is a funny holiday. My boys aren’t really into the lovey-dovey things, but they have always enjoyed getting the candy and treats from friends at school. I typically try to find some fun Valentine gifts for my boys and they always look for Valentine box ideas that are “boy-approved”. Also, I don’t have the time or desire to spend hours making boxes for them.

I love that all of the Valentine boxes on this list are super easy to make and that most of them are made with things found around the house.

1.R2D2 Valentine Box

This R2D2 Valentine box is probably my favorite because not only is it Star Wars-inspired, but when Valentine’s Day is over, it can be used as a garbage can. My son is excited to keep this in his room after Valentine’s Day is over. Check out how we made it here: R2D2 Valentine Box

2. Rocket Valentine Box

Kids will have a BLAST this Valentine’s Day with this fun rocket valentine box. This is another Valentine box that looks really great but isn’t very hard to make. Use an empty oatmeal container, some foam craft stickers, paper and a few other crafty things.

3. Crocodile Valentine Box

My son’s favorite animal is a crocodile so he had asked about making a Crocodile Valentine box. I love that this Valentine box used products from around hour house that we could upcycle.

This valentine box is made with a left over box of dishwasher tablets. I think it turned out really cute and he loved that the mouth could open and close letting his crocodile “chomp” his Valentines.

4. Minion Valentine Box

My boys love the Minions from Despicable Me, and this purple Minion Valentine Box was so fun to make. He makes me laugh every time I see him. My son even made his own Minion Valentine box and he was so proud of the end result.

All you need is an empty Pretzel or cheese balls container, some purple paint, purple easter grass and a few other supplies.

5. Shark Valentine Boxes

We made these using an empty dish washer tablet container and an empty baby formula can.We wrapped them in grey wrapping paper and then used craft foam for the rest. I was able to find self-adhesivecraft foam sheetsthat I used to secure the fins and the tail to the sharks and also to stick the eyes and teeth on.

This Shark Valentine box looked really fun, but wasn’t difficult to make. We actually threw them together the night before Valentine’s Day and they were super popular with the kids at school.

6. Football Valentine Box

My oldest son designed and made his own Football Valentine boxand I think it turned out super cool. I love that my boys are getting old enough to do things for themselves. He just decorated the field with paper and used my Xyron machine to make his own stickersValentine Boxes For Boys: Easy, Creative and Fun to Make - (9).Then he made the goal posts with craft fuzzy sticksValentine Boxes For Boys: Easy, Creative and Fun to Make - (10).
